After a temporary pull out due to intimidations inflicted on its humanitarian operators finally cleared of any wrongdoing, Emergency has gradually resumed its operations in Afghanistan.
The hospital in Lashkar-gah - in the embattled Helmand Province- has been the last to be reopened , just a few days ago.
The first 3 patients were : a man shot in Grishk three days before,
a man wounded during a bombing and another one wounded by a mine
explosion.
Meanwhile, in the maternity center, in Anabah, in the Panjisher Valley, the first baby after reopening the hospital was born on July the 24th. By August 2nd, 9 new borns had already been born in the Center.
